Galaxy S22 supports most android games

Samsung Expert RAW app here for Galaxy S22 phones - Android Authority

When playing games or using other popular apps, you may not be able to profit from Samsung’s new Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra’s top-of-the-line hardware. Our testing confirms what Geekbench creator John Poole says: the Galaxy S22 series and previous Samsung phones substantially restrict performance while playing some well-known gaming titles, such as Genshin Impact.

Over 10,000 programs

with unique performance, tunings are making the rounds. Still, we can’t verify their legitimacy because the list appears to be remotely updatable and challenging to track down in our software research. Even Samsung’s standard launcher is said to have been included and various other apps.

Throttling isn’t what it used to be, either. While digging into the code, Android Police’s Max Weinbach has found evidence that it’s incredibly sophisticated, balancing multiple parameters such as the device’s temperature, expected battery level at various times of day and night, the CPU speed, and predicted FPS benefits when determining what kinds of resources any given game will get. So the benchmark figures you see here and elsewhere may not be correct in all cases because this tweaking changes from app to app and game to game.”

Performance of Geekbench

It’s clear that the performance of Geekbench modified to spoof the Genshin Impact package name on the Galaxy S22+ has been considerably lowered, with a loss of roughly 45 percent in single-core performance and around 28 percent in multi-core performance. CPU frequencies are being checked while tests are being done in both cases, and lower clock speeds are found.

When we compared Geekbench GPU compute performance across the conventional and Genshin-spoofing Geekbench applications, we saw a severe drop of 54 to 58 percent. This information won’t be included for all models in our comparison table because the benchmarking methodologies allowed by different devices vary.

We’ll be adding more gadgets to this table in the future, so check back soon. Some Samsung smartphones from several generations ago appear to be vulnerable.

Also, the Galaxy Z Fold3 (a $1,800 flagship phone) suffered from similar performance-limiting, but not to the same degree. Single-core performance dropped by 28%, while multi-core performance dropped by 23%.

Many Samsung devices have been reported to be impacted by this issue. Geekbench’s John Poole tested both an Exynos and a Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S10.

Adjusting the Game Booster profile parameters did not affect restoring lost performance on the devices we tested. However, we found no difference in our results if we turned on Samsung’s different performance profile in the Battery area of the settings for the Galaxy S22 and other Samsung phones.

Instead, the Pixel 6 Pro’s Geekbench results were nearly equal to the normal Geekbench and the Genshin Impact package name-adopted version. Whatever app is running, Pixels don’t appear to slow down.

While some say that the firm may tweak how its game optimization tools function with a more performance-prioritizing option, another is making the rounds on Korean Twitter.
